Scholarship Program
Rules Governing Scholarship Grants
Svithiod students desiring to
apply for a Svithiod Scholarship grant must fill out the application
form below and send it to the Grand Lodte Office, 5518 W. Lawrence Ave.,
Chicago, Illinois 60630 before the deadline date of July 15, 2011. Those
who intend to apply must conform to the following rules.
1. In order to be eligible for
a Svithiod grant, the applicant must be a member in good standing
in the Independent Order of Svithiod for at least three (3) years
and be a high school senior and/or graduate. Applicants must have a 2.5 average or better. 12 Semester hours are required. Second, Third, & Fourth year students only. Incomplete/late applications WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
2. Full-time students who intend
to further their education and/or vocational pursuits will be considered
for a scholarship grant.
3. Application for the scholarship
grant shall be submitted to the Grand LodgeOffice no later than July 15, 2011. Applications received after July 15th will not be
considered.
4. An Essay, presenting the reason
the applicant desires to receive a scholarship grant must accompany
this application along with a certified copy of the applicant's
grades.
5. On proof of the applicant's
acceptance by a school, scholarship grants will be payable at the discretion
of the Scholarship Committee with approval of the Board of Directors.
6. Full-time undergraduate students
are eligible to re-apply for additional grants, not to exceed four
(4) grants. |
